For Such A Time As This:The Lord is Looking for Esthers

Many people have read about Esther, the brave young Jewish girl who dared face the king against penalty of death. At first she feared for her life, but her Uncle Mordecai rebuked her by telling her, who knows that you have come to a royal position for such a time as this? Esther fasted three days before she faced the king. And we know that Esther was received by the king, and he held out his scepter of authority, thereby making legal what Esther did to come into his presence uninvited.

But have you tried to read on in the book of Esther? What happened after Haman was exposed?

It says in Esther 7:8 “Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall, Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining. The king exclaimed, “Will he even molest the queen while she is with me in the house?” As soon as the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.”

What is the meaning of this for God’s people?

“As soon as the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.”
I believe the word of the Lord has left His mouth and the face of the enemy has been covered. Yes, the Lord has spoken and declared. The battle is the Lord’s and by His word He shatters the powers of darkness.

What then happened to Haman’s estate? If you read on in Esther 8:1-2, it says:
“That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came into the presence of the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her. The king took off his signet ring, which he had reclaimed from Haman, and presented it to Mordecai. And Esther appointed him over Haman’s estate.”

What does this mean? I believe that God is giving His people the estate of the enemy. God is giving as his inheritance the nations, to those who will ask of Him. There is an inheritance for those who will humbly approach the King of Kings and who will ask of Him to save an entire generation of unborn babies. Just like Esther, they will fast as they approach the Lord. But in the presence of the Lord there is no fear. As we come into His presence by His mercy and through His blood, the Lord extends His scepter of justice and righteousness for us to touch, and He asks us, like the king asked Esther, “What is it, my child? What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given you.”

God is looking for Esthers who will not ask for half the kingdom, but for those who will come before Him pleading for people, for a nation, for a generation, even for an unborn generation.

The Signet Ring

What is the significance of the signet ring that the king gave to Mordecai? The signet ring is the king’s stamp of approval on any edict or law that was passed. I believe God is giving His people who cry out to Him day and night for His justice and righteousness, His signet ring. What we declare is done, what we bind is bound and what we loose is loosed, stamped by the signet ring of the Lord. The Lord has given us His signet ring of His authority and approval as we declare His word and prophesy to nations, leaders, and generations to line up with the word of God.

Pleading Again

Did you know that Esther pleaded with the king for a second time, risking her life for a second time?
Esther 8:3-8 says:
Esther again pleaded with the king, falling at his feet and weeping. She begged him to put an end to the evil plan of Haman the Agagite, which he had devised against the Jews. Then the king extended the gold scepter to Esther and she arose and stood before him.”If it pleases the king,” she said, “and if he regards me with favor and thinks it the right thing to do, and if he is pleased with me, let an order be written overruling the dispatches that Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, devised and wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king’s provinces. For how can I bear to see disaster fall on my people? How can I bear to see the destruction of my family?” King Xerxes replied to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, “Because Haman attacked the Jews, I have given his estate to Esther, and they have hanged him on the gallows. Now write another decree in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring– for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.”

The Lord is Looking for Esthers
The Lord is looking for Esthers who will approach the Lord again, and fall at His feet weeping to plead for their people, to plead for unborn babies who are going to be dragged to their deaths and slaughtered, to beg God to put an end to the evil plot of Satan for the unborn generation. God is looking for Esthers who will say, if it pleases You God, if you regard me with favor and if I please You, let an order be written in heaven overruling the laws of Satan that have been responsible for the slaughter of babies.

The Lord is looking for Esthers who will tell Him, “For how can I bear to see disaster fall on these unborn babies? How can I bear to see the destruction of the unborn?”

May God raise up these Esthers who cannot bear to see the destruction of the unborn because God Himself cannot bear to see it too. May what breaks God’s heart break ours as we plead for a generation whom Satan is trying to annihilate by evil decrees. The battle is the Lord’s, and He will dash with His iron scepter the strongholds of darkness.

Beautiful Seed- Lyrics

(written by Corrinne May Ying Foo, copyright 2006)

You can fill the darkness
with just one flash of light
Break the  silence with just one word
One defiance starts a revolution
One life can  save the world

On the steps of Washington
Sprinkled like  confetti
Thousands of people sing
“We shall overcome”
The preacher  shouts :
“Let freedom ring.”
He gave his life for what he  believed

You can be a witness
You can be a prophet
You can make the  whole world believe
Break the strongest fortress
Change the way the world  thinks
You can build a bridge where
foes can meet
Hope for the  future
Shout it, don’t whisper
Dreams are what we make them to  be
There is hope in every heartbeat
Tiny as it seems
You’re a beautiful  seed

She’s a pastor’s daughter
She’s only 16
But her heart and her  belly
are breaking at the seams
Her boyfriend blames her,
he wants to  pay
for the doctor to wash it away

As she lays in the hospital,
A  Christmas choir is singing
About a child in a manger,
fragile and  small
“Unto us is born a Savior”
She looks at her baby and cries
as she  sings him a lullaby.

You can be a witness
You can be a prophet
You  can make the whole world believe
Break the strongest fortress
Change the  way the world thinks
You can build a bridge where
foes can meet
Hope  for the future
in the tiniest whisper
Dreams are what we make them to  be
There is hope in every heartbeat
Tiny as it seems
You’re a beautiful  seed

Every hope, every power
lies in the heart of a seed that  flowers
Intertwined all across the land
We’re all seeds in the Maker’s  hands.

Corrinne May: “I decided to name my new album and also this next song “Beautiful Seed” because i think the seed is such a beautiful metaphor for ourselves and our lives. We start off being really really tiny and really small, very insignificant actually that you even need an ultrasound to see that little dot in the mother’s womb. But then all the potential for who we are and who we will be is already there and that’s so amazing to me.. that everything that we are , we just came from that small insignificant seed. And I was inspired because oftentimes we think that you know, we’re just one person, what can we do,but I look at the Mahatma Gandhis of the world, and the Mother Teresas , and you know, it’s just amazing how one person can make a difference. I think it’s good to remember that. So this song is called “Beautiful Seed”.”

This video is “Corrinne May’s performance of ‘Beautiful Seed’ at the sold-out ‘Beautiful Seed’ concert held at the UCC Hall in Singapore on the 3rd of August 2007. Corrinne is accompanied by a string ensemble and her 5-piece band.” – from youtube at

Corrinne May’s blog

I feel so proud of Corrinne May because she’s Asian (from Singapore, based in the USA), because she’s pro-life, because she has a beautiful, beautiful voice and because she has written “Beautiful Seed” and another favorite song of mine, “Five Loaves and Two Fishes”.

View her blog, “Corrinne’s Musings”. Here she tells the story of her participation in the Walk for Life in San Francisco on January 20, 2008, which was also her 35th birthday. The title of that post is “Celebrating Life”. This is the text of Corrinne’s post:

Celebrating Life

So, I had a beautiful birthday. I’d been
going back and forth about whether to go for the ‘Walk
For Life’ and I’m glad that I did it.After all, what better way is there to celebrate
my 35th year of life than by taking part in a
pro-life walk, a walk that calls to mind the need
to cultivate a culture of life, especially during
this, the 35th anniversary of the Roe V Wade, U.S
Supreme Court decision to legalise abortion in the
US.It is well worth reflecting/contemplating on the
fact that I was born, 35 years ago, just around
the time when the Supreme Court here chose
to allow people to legally abort the unborn
for whatever reasons, whatsoever.

The babies aborted around that time would
have been my age this year. In taking
part in the walk, I felt that it was one
way I could help to give a voice to the
voiceless, to make a stand on behalf
of those who did not have a choice to keep their

In place of a birthday dinner celebration
as usual, or a birthday cake, or birthday cards,
I broke bread and shared the feast of Christ’s
body and blood with my fellow brothers
and sisters in Christ at mass at St. Patrick’s
Church, I had the pleasure of enjoying the candles
lit at the Tabernacle and I had a placard to hold
‘Women Deserve Better Than Abortion’ during the
Walk For Life.

Yes, it took 6 hours to drive there and 6 hours to
drive back to LA, but it was a journey not made
in vain. After all, no life is lived in vain.

It was a celebration of life. The life that is
given to all of us, the life that only He
can give, or take away.

Diary of An Unborn Baby in Spanish

feet of an 11-week-old baby in the womb

¿Estás content a mamá?

Y sano.

Late acompasademente.

Pum pum

Pum pum

¡Tendrás una hija sana, mami!

28 de diciembre

mi mamá

me abortó.

Pray to end the practice of abortion in the Philippines

1.Pray that Supreme Court justices will all value and uphold life as is stated in the Philippine Constitution.Art.2. Sec.12. (Jer 22:3 This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place….Isaiah 28:6He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.)
    2. Pray that the Congressmen, Senators, Mayors and City Councils will uphold life and will not enact any pro-death and pro-abortion laws or city codes. (Amos 5:24

But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!)
    3. Pray that God’s will be done in Congress and in local governments. Pray that the pro-death and pro-abortion laws will not prosper. (Psalm 94:20 Can a corrupt throne be allied with you– one that brings on misery by its decrees?)
    4. Pray that pro-life Congressmen, Senators and government officials will be elected in the  elections. (Daniel 2:21 He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. )
    5. Pray that the culture of death will be replaced by a culture of life. (Deut 30:19 Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.)
    6. Pray that abortion will always be illegal in the Philippines. (Psalm 33:5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice.”… Isaiah 1:17  Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.)
    7. Pray against the anti-children culture of death. (Psalm 127:3-5 Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.)
    8. Pray that born and unborn children will be considered a blessing and not a curse nor a burden to families nor to the nation. (.Malachi 2:15 Has not God made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring.)
9.Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict women who want to have an abortion. (John 16:8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment.)
10.Pray that God will give them strength and a way out of their problems so they don’t consider abortion.
11.Pray that the Lord will grant them love and compassion for their own babies in their wombs.
12.Pray for provision of needs of mothers who decided to keep their babies. (Ps 34:10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.)
13.Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict women who have had abortions. (Ezek 23:36-37 The LORD said to me: “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then confront them with their detestable practices, for they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to me, as food for them.)
14.Pray that God will convict parents who forced their children to have abortions. (Psalm 106:38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.)
15.Pray that they will acknowledge that they have sinned and will repent and be reconciled to God. (Prov 6:16-19There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers..)
16.Pray that more abortion clinics will be exposed by the blood that they shed. (Isaiah 26:21 See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer….Gen 4:10The LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.”… Gen 9:5-6And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.

Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man.)
    17. Pray that the abortionists will be caught and their evil deeds exposed. (Eph 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. )
    18. Pray that God will convict these abortionists of their sin of bloodshed. (Exod 34:6-7 “The LORD…. does not leave the guilty unpunished…”)Pray that they will repent and be reconciled to God.

    19. Pray that the blood of Jesus will cover the bloodshed of abortion in our nation and withhold judgment from our nation. (Numbers 35:33″‘Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it…Hosea 4:2-3

There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns…Isa 5:7… And He looked for justice, but saw bloodshed; for righteousness, but heard cries of distress…Ezek 9:9…The sin of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of injustice…)

    20. Pray that the Christian churches will rise up for life and will stand up against abortion. (Isa 58:6″Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?… Prov 24:11Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter….Psalm 82:3-4        Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked….Prov 31:8-9″Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”)

    21. Pray for the next generation to be born. Psa. 22:30-31Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn– for he has done it.
